Good morning, America!
current mood: thoughtful
It's 7 am. Only it totally isn't. It's actually 1 pm. It's 7 am in parts of America.
Sometimes I joke that God intended me to be an American but by mistake I was born in Germany. Particularly in the last months I got quite invested not only in American TV but also in an American way of life. Due to the fact that I befriended some Americans I found to a whole new daily rhythm. The time difference "forces" me to stay awake deep into the night and to sleep-in the next morning to make up for it. Poor me. ;o)
At the moment I skipped German TV altogether. Actually I enjoy watching next to nothing in the summer months as I have a lot of stuff going on everyday anyway. Not to mention the amount of TV show episodes I have available for my watching pleasure ( Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars, House... I bet I would love them ) but haven't seen yet.
It's a sorta difficult balance act to get my duties in line with my pleasures. Every other day I feel the disadvantages of the lack of sleep but I wouldn't wanna miss the fun I get from joining boards, talking aim, writing reviews, watching episodes for the world. :o)
For the next months to come I don't see any improvement coming. In the winter months I'll write my bachelor thesis though... then I might have to cut back a bit. I am on the look out for a beneficial notebook to gain some hours of potential writing time while on the road. I try to get a grip of my working schedule... there must be an easier way than the chaos that is now arising every day. ;o) Until then I just try to keep awake during the days.
It's 1.20 pm here. That's 7.20 pm somewhere in America. The boards are generally abandoned but thankfully some early birds finally sneak a peak.
Good morning, America!
